CollCom NSS/NGO Collaboration: Empowering Youth Through Community Engagement

Welcome to CollCom, a dedicated College-Community network committed to fostering youth empowerment through community service. We are excited to present our CollCom NSS Collaboration Proposal, designed to enhance the impact and reach of National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers across the country.

About Us

CollCom is a non-profit organization driven by alumni of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). Established on September 5, 2018, our mission is to train and mentor NSS volunteers, strengthen NSS units, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan Clubs, and other youth-led organizations in colleges and schools nationwide. We provide a platform for students to engage closely with communities, understand their challenges, and contribute to solving them, thereby uplifting these communities both materially and morally.

Our Achievements

Since our inception, we have:

• Collaborated with prestigious institutions such as JNU, Delhi University, and many more.
• Conducted 18 short and long-duration internship programs.
• Held over 250 workshops, webinars, and seminars.
• Organized 5 special camps.
• Mentored more than 4,500 NSS volunteers.
• Benefited over 2.65 lakh people through various workshops, events, and social media outreach.

Our Vision

This Collaboration aims to address the challenges faced by NSS/NGO volunteers, including:

• Understanding the purpose of community engagement activities.
• Conducting field surveys scientifically to grasp real-life problems.
• Planning and organizing village special camps.
• Measuring the impact of events and campaigns.
• Publishing findings in national media and journals.

Our Objectives

Through this collaboration, we aim to:

1. Empower NSS/NGO Volunteers: Provide training and mentorship to develop civic responsibilities and confidence.
   
   
2. Enhance Community Engagement: Facilitate a deeper understanding of social issues and sustainable problem-solving.
   
   
3. Improve Institutional Rankings: Assist colleges in achieving better NAAC/NIRF rankings through impactful community service.

Proposed Activities

CollCom will offer:

• Internships and Volunteering Opportunities: For planning and executing joint events and campaigns scientifically.
  
  
• Field Survey Mentorship: Guidance on conducting research and documenting findings.
  
  
• Expert Support: Access to a panel of experts for successful campaign execution.
  
  
• Joint Campaigns: Collaborative efforts on social media and other platforms.

Resources and Evaluation

We require only basic facilities like auditoriums or seminar halls for meetings and events. There is no financial expectation for collaboration. Success will be evaluated based on the number of creatives, events, and publications, with top volunteers receiving certificates, gifts, and awards.

Impact

Through our efforts, NSS/NGO volunteers will gain confidence, communication skills, and personality development, enhancing their employability and contributing to better college performance in national rankings.
