About the Internship

CollCom, a non-profit organization dedicated to cybersecurity education and social causes, is organizing the 7-Day Community Connect Hackathon 2024. The goal is to create a volunteer management web application to streamline intern management for CollCom’s projects.

Internship Role

Participants will work in teams of 1 to 3 members to design and develop a web application over the course of 7 days. The hackathon will help develop features like intern management, task assignment, progress tracking, communication tools, and reward systems.

Key Responsibilities

Develop a comprehensive web application to streamline intern management.
Create a dashboard interface to overview intern progress, ongoing tasks, and project updates.
Design an application screening module to manage incoming applications and track recruitment.
Develop intern profiles showcasing assigned tasks and progress.
Implement task management features including task assignment, deadlines, and resources.
Create a real-time group chat feature for collaboration and communication.
Integrate notification systems and send automated reminders for deadlines.
Develop performance tracking tools to monitor progress and generate reports.
Design a reward system for exceptional performance and integrate social media sharing tools.
Ensure the application is secure, user-friendly, and well-tested before deployment.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Front-End technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
Knowledge of Back-End technologies such as Node.js, Python, Ruby on Rails, or PHP.
Experience with database management and integration of real-time communication tools.
Ability to conduct thorough testing to ensure security and usability of the application.
